  • Nurse Substitute

    The Woodlands Methodist School – Preschool and Lower/Middle School is currently seeking candidates for nurse substitutes available for the 2017 – 2018 and 2018 – 2019 school years.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and current Texas Registered Nursing License
    • At least two years of experience in Pediatric Health Care
    • Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
    • Ability to work part-time
    • Growing Christian
    • Has a heart for working with kids
    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs quickly

    • Preschool Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
    • Lower/Middle School Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Woodlands Methodist School

  • Lower/Middle Eagle Club Assistant

    The Woodlands Methodist School – Lower/Middle School is currently seeking candidates for Eagle Club Assistant positions for the 2018-2019 school year. Eagle Club is optional extended care for enrolled students. Eagle Club is available to lower and middle school students before school from 7:30-8:30 a.m. or after school until 5:30 p.m. This position is responsible for supervising students during Eagle Club.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School graduate, some college preferred
    • An interest in working with children Kindergarten through 8th grade and a willingness to work under the supervision of the Eagle Club Coordinator
    • Must be a committed Christian comfortable sharing their faith with children and families
    • Must meet licensing requirements; which includes fingerprinting and an extensive background check

     

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Be available for a shift from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • Work with and supervise students participating in Eagle Club who will be engaging in art, recreation, games and/or playground activities.
    • Be available to help with homework if needed.
    • Help with arrival and dismissal to Eagle Club
    • Follow daily plans in meeting with the school philosophy
    • Collaborate with the Administrative Services Coordinator and Eagle Club Coordinator in all Eagle Club activities.
    • Meet licensing and school requirements for in-service training and professional growth in a timely manner
    • Cooperate with others who share the classroom, including school staff and other The Woodlands UMC ministries.

     

    CLASSIFICATION:

    • Part time/non-exempt; not to exceed 29 hours/week

  • Soccer Coach

    The Woodlands Methodist School is hiring part-time Soccer coach for the fall 2018 season. In this role, the key component is fulfilling the mission “to promote the discovery of and growth in Christianity through sports.” With the coach’s guidance and purpose, we will be equipping our athletes for excellence in competition. As a TWMS Coach, you will be more than an instructor - you will be a mentor, helping young athletes, and their families, develop lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.

    Qualifications:

    • Disciple of Jesus Christ
    • Knowledge in the sport you are applying for
    • Love for kids
    • 18 years of age or older

    This is a seasonal, temporary position. The coach will hold a one-hour practice daily during the sports season.

  • Part-Time Admission Assessment Team Member
    THE WOODLANDS METHODIST SCHOOL: PART-TIME ADMISSION ASSESSMENT TEAM MEMBER

    The Woodlands Methodist School – Admission & Community Relations Department is currently seeking candidates for Assessment Team Members for the 2018-2019 school year. This position is responsible for performing assessments for potential students, as well as providing a summary and analysis for each assessment. Assessment Team Members must be committed Christians. This position is part-time.

    FUNCTION

    The Assessment Team Member performs assessments and writes summaries of results for students entering Kindergarten through eighth grade. The Assessment Team Member is an integral part of the admission process.

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    • As needed, part-time

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Each Assessment Team Member should have a Baccalaureate degree in education or related field
    • Experience with administering individual educational assessments strongly preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Self-starter that is motivated to get the job done and work independently
    • Assessment Team Members must be committed Christians comfortable sharing their faith with children and families
    • Must meet church and school requirements, which include fingerprinting and an extensive background check

    JOB DUTIES

    • Meets student and family as they arrive for assessment
    • Reviews the assessment process with family prior to beginning with the student
    • Performs assessment with student
    • Evaluates results of assessment
    • Writes summary of results to be shared with Admission Committee
    • Maintains a flexible work schedule
