Education for Tomorrow Alliance Science Fair 2024: Honoring Young Scientific Minds

The Education for Tomorrow Alliance Science Fair, held on January 19, 2024, showcased the impressive scientific talents of 7th and 8th-grade honors students from The Woodlands Methodist School. Hosted at Lone Star College, this event brought together budding scientists who demonstrated their passion for inquiry and discovery.

Among the standout performers were several students who clinched top honors in their respective divisions. Jake Mahlmann, Hanna Lee, Sachi Lee, Cameron Byrd, Sophie Stone, and Sam Perkey secured first place in their divisions, showcasing their exceptional understanding of scientific principles and innovative approaches to experimentation. Additionally, Leah Flotte, Ella Burns, and Caleb Miller distinguished themselves by securing second place, while Luke Clark demonstrated his prowess by earning third place in his division.

5th Annual First Tee Golf Champions Challenge

Every year, The Woodlands Methodist School is invited to participate in the First Tee Golf Champions Challenge. Two 4th grade students are selected to participate in a fun-filled golf tournament.

The First Tee of Greater Houston is dedicated to impacting the youth through a program that builds character, instills life-enhancing values, and promotes healthy choices through the game of golf. “The purpose for Big Art Day is to raise awareness of art education and art as a creative force in our communities on a BIG statewide scale. It is an attempt by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) to engage all art educators, their students and communities in a single day art event.”
