TWMS follows its founding guiding principles. The implementation of spiritual growth, the learning environment, accountability, excellence in academic expectations, family partnerships and compassion are identifiers of our world-class Christian education offered at The Woodlands Methodist School.

At The Woodlands Methodist School we encourage our learners to participate in their own education process. We capitalize on student and parental engagement and provide support to both families and students to maximize their learning opportunities at The Woodlands Methodist School.

We engage students in authentic learning experiences through hands-on learning and activities that encourage the student to engage in a sustained discipline process of learning.

The Woodlands Methodist School operates our school with a global perspective. Our students will work internationally and be engaged in global issues.

Our purpose is to expand each student’s horizons in all areas of education and growth, not just academic growth but also social and emotional growth. Best practices encourage parental involvement, small class sizes, one to one teacher and student interaction, meaningful technology experiences and varied learning environments to support the educational belief that all students can learn.

ACCREDITATION

We are both responsible to and supported by The Woodlands Methodist Church, the TWUMC School Board, and the families we serve. Our school is accredited through Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/AdvancED and held accountable by TEPSAC (Texas Private School Accreditation Commission) for students ages PreK – 8th grade.

While accreditation is a set of rigorous protocols and research-based processes for evaluating an institution’s organizational effectiveness, it is far more than that.
